ELIGIBILITY

No returns will be accepted unless the product is damaged or defective (as defined below).

Damaged means any packaged product having quality issues leading to deleterious or destructive effects due to physical or chemical damage, or from any other circumstances, which renders the product unfit for consumption and/or use.

A defective product is a product that causes injury to a person due to a design defect (including packaging), a manufacturing defect, or a marketing defect.

You understand and agree that certain food products may require specific storage conditions and adherence to instructions mentioned on the product packaging. You are required to follow these instructions to enjoy the product in its best form and to prevent spoilage or contamination that may render the product unfit for consumption or its intended use. Products stored or used contrary to such instructions shall not be eligible for returns or refunds.

DENTS / SCRATCHES

We take due care to deliver products in the best possible condition. However, there may be instances where products are received with minor dents or scratches, including slight indentations or creasing of the shipping carton.

Minor scratches and/or dents do not affect product quality or intended use and are safe and fit for consumption. We recommend inspecting each product and its internal packaging upon receipt. In the event of major dents, leakage, openings, or pinholes, please do not use the product and contact customer support immediately.

SHELF LIFE

The Website and the product packaging clearly display the Best Before / Expiry date (“Shelf Life”), indicating that the product is safe and fit for use or consumption until the stated date. Spicecart Modison does not sell products that are unsafe or unfit for consumption.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have conducted due diligence regarding the Shelf Life displayed on the Website and placed the order based on your intended usage.

To prevent frivolous or invalid claims, no returns will be accepted for products that are well within their Shelf Life.

In rare cases, the Best Before / Expiry date shown on the Website may differ from that printed on the product due to logistical, technical, or system updates. If the product received is within its Shelf Life, it shall not be eligible for return on Shelf Life grounds, unless less than 20% of the Shelf Life remains at the time of receipt. Such cases will be evaluated by our team for eligibility for return or refund.

OTHER ITEMS – RETURN ELIGIBILITY

For items other than perishables, to be eligible for a refund, you must return the product within seven (7) calendar days of delivery. If seven (7) days have elapsed since delivery, a refund or replacement cannot be offered.

To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused and unopened
  • It must be in the same condition as received
  • It must be in the original packaging

PERISHABLE PRODUCTS

Spicecart Modison takes stringent measures to ensure products are delivered in perfect condition. However, in the unlikely event of transit damage or incorrect delivery, perishable products may be returned within two (2) days of delivery if damaged or defective.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging. Please contact customer support to obtain a free return shipping label, where applicable.

If products arrive damaged, rotten, or contaminated, please contact us immediately. A free replacement may be issued, subject to our right to recall the product for analysis and testing.

At the time of return, at least 75% of the original weight or volume of the product should be returned.

All refunds or returns are subject to inspection and approval. If the return is not approved, no refund will be initiated.

Products purchased from the Spicecart Modison website cannot be returned at any physical store, if applicable.

REFUND TIMELINE

After a refund is initiated by Spicecart Modison in accordance with this policy, the refund is expected to reflect as follows:

  • Bank Transfer – 1 to 3 business days after initiation

  • Online/Card Refunds – 7 to 10 business days, depending on the bank/payment provider

  • Digital Wallets – As per wallet provider timelines

Refund initiation occurs after the returned item is received and passes quality checks. Timelines may vary based on courier transit time. In case of discrepancies, we may request supporting documentation (e.g., a bank statement screenshot).

SELF-SHIPPING OF RETURNS

You may self-ship returned items via any reliable courier service. Shipping costs will be reimbursed, subject to approval. Please share a scanned copy of the courier bill/receipt via the Contact Us options on the Website.

The courier receipt must:

  • Show the weight of the return package

  • Include sender and destination addresses, shipment date, and amount paid

  • Be unaltered (not edited/overwritten)

  • Reflect reasonable charges for the service used (subject to verification)

Reimbursement is subject to successful inspection and processing upon receipt.

DECLINE OF RETURN REQUEST

A return request may be declined if the product is used, damaged, or missing labels, or does not meet eligibility criteria. In such cases, no refund will be issued, and Spicecart Modison assumes no liability. For assistance, please contact customer support.
